Flow in our creations

We were visited by such a cute client! Lopamudra Ghatak visited the Chanderi Tiramisu studio and had a really fun time. She appreciated our designs a lot and we were truly humbled!

It is always exciting to have our clients try out our creations and see their reactions. They love how they look. That is exactly what happened. Lopa is working in a Digital Marketing firm and was looking for an attire for work and leisure. She tried the looks below and bought them!

Check them out and head over to our facebook page www.facebook.com/chanderitiramisu or website www.chanderitiramisu.ooo to check out our collection!

Feel Stylish. Feel Confident!

You know you feel super confident when you look fab! It makes you feel gooood from inside and exerts an aura of confidence.

I took out two of my cutest friends- my guides, yoga buddies and mentors- for lunch to Khan Market. We went to Big Chill and had such a satisfying meal with lots of talk and gossip on a buzzy weekday afternoon!

They were wearing my creations- well-fitted kurtas in vibrant colours, teamed with flowy shararas and matching dupattas. Obviously, I thought they looked incredible. We decided to take some photos after our meal. It was so rewarding to see them that excited to pose for photos! I guess we looked quite fine because suddenly this woman comes up and appreciates us and asks whether she can click us too!!

That was such a wonderful moment for me! And them, of course :)

You can wear what you want and how you want - just be confident and everything will seem right! And yes, age no bar when it comes to my designing.

Check out the photos below:

Website Coming Soon!

It has been a whirlwind of a journey from where we at Chanderi Tiramisu started. Still remember the the way our first saree was sold. I had just put it up on my personal Facebook page and received queries from some of my friends about its price! My first reaction was that is not for sale! But then I thought about it, and quoted a price. And there, my first creation was sold!

Since 2013, we have created a good presence on our Facebook Page www.facebook.com/chanderitiriamisu! Have enjoyed creating sarees and interacting with our wonderful clients. Without the support and appreciation of our clients and well-wishers, we wouldn't be taking the next step forward.

We are very proud to announce the launch of our website- Coming Soon! Happy to kick-start our next level. Stay Tuned :D

Embrace The Unknown Saree!

Yes, saree has become the unknown!

Have you observed how fewer number of women are wearing sarees these days in a normal routine day?

The other day, I was in a movie hall and I observed that saree has been relegated to a party or a wedding attire. Ever wondered why?

Several reasons-
"quite an effort to drape a saree",
"takes too much time" or
"such a bother to find matching petticoat and blouse every time,
"blouse doesn't fit"
And so it goes on.....

Well if you love wearing sarees and want to overcome the above mentioned hurdles, here are a few tips:

1. Try hanging the saree with matching petticoat and blouse- you'll save on time

2. If you find the blouse fit changes with every season (hopefully you have lost a few kilos ;) ) Then make blouses in 3-4 basic colours beige/black/red or mehroon. These will go with practically all the sarees. Plus a few printed blouses- to make that style statement!

Do try and make an effort and take the pledge to wear a saree at least twice a month- that too on a normal day...no occasion!

So reach out to the loft on the top shelf of your cupboard and pull out 2 sarees to begin with...

Let the saree be "known" from "unknown"

Look out for more posts. If you like you can start a dialogue with me on "sarees".

Here I am in two of my favourite sarees-

Frenchilicious!

Wow! What a transformation! Visitors to N block, GK 1 market will remember "Bread & More" ,an eatery where you could get fresh breads , pastries, low cal salads and an odd pizza. Now, at the same venue, has emerged a renovated avatar and what an avatar it is!

To begin with, the outlet  looks like a tea house in London. The shop window design is very intriguing, , featuring an all white plastered look.At first glance it looks unfinished, but then you realize that it's the design element.

The patisserie/delicatessen has a narrow , vertical look. The shop has half of it's previous space. The sections are neatly divided into a fresh breads section, dessert section with a variety of assorted pasries , chocolates & cakes.

Divish, the owner ,explained that the breads are baked in a stone oven and are not sliced so that the moisture and aroma is retained. We saw a variety of croissants, focaccia bread, baguettes.
The dessert section has it all from red velvet cake to mille fueille to lemon meringue pie.

Divish was extremely proud of colourful macaroons that are extremely light and fluffy in texture. He claims to use the finest ingredients -Belgian chocolate and French butter!

Well, Delhites never had it so good.Suddenly, the city is inundated with confectioneries selling red velvet cakes , macaroons and if you have a place making all these with the best of ingredients at extremely pocket friendly prices then you couldn't ask for more!
A word about the staff -very upbeat!
